One and a half years have passed since I made one of the most significant decisions of my life to fulfill my dream and go cycling around the world. Now, it's time to leave. As I am packing the bags now and ensuring I will not leave anything important behind, I am almost ready to go. But before that, I want to reflect on the recent events.

As I continued preparing for my dream adventure during the last few months, I felt something had changed. I already achieved the physical and mental state you would expect from someone who wants to experience the world on a bicycle. This is why I decided to push my limits by competing in the upcoming HLC race.

Almost a year has passed since my last post, in which I announced my plans to fulfill my childhood dream and go cycling around the world. Many aspects of my life have changed since that announcement. I would like to share my progress since then, my plans until I go, and why I am going in April 2024.

My life has been stable in recent years. I am a single man in my early 30s, working as a software engineer in the fintech industry, renting an apartment in the city center alone, able to afford the latest technologies, going on a vacation every now and then, and dining in fancy restaurants often, but, something has been bothering me ever since I can remember being myself.
